Cape Town. It’s already January, and, what’s more, New Year has come:) Time flies, oh yeah, it does! It’s as speedy as if it had at least two spinnakers and was running with the engine at the same time... How was your New Year’s Eve, by the way? can you remember what you were doing on the last day of poor old 2007?  As for me, I don’t feel winter at all, I can’t even wear my race hat („Cape to Bahia”) – not only because it’s hot, but also because beginning with this year, solitary sailors cannot participate in the event. Well, rules are rules, good to know them and obey them, plus, I quite like the fact that I’m sailing on my own and I’m not going to hide it:)   

I tried to prolong my visa, and you know what? It was only today that I really felt that I’m in Africa. Well..
