26-31 January
Lots of meetings, all of which had to be set, reminded of, and attended at a right place and a right time. I had to send materials, authorise articles, receive a link, send a link, put a link on a webpage, send thanks... wash something, iron something, call somewhere, do this, do that... I HAVE NEVER EVER been so busy in my entire life... That was my greatest struggle with the lack of sleep, too... Luckily, my sister came round to help me out, otherwise I would have never managed to stay alive... Trip to Warsaw was a string of fruitful meetings, recordings, live shows on a radio and on TV, meeting with Karolina live in front of a camcorder... a few interviews for newspapers and a flat battery in my mobile – taking a spare one with me was one of my smarter choices ;)
I was falling asleep while standing but I kept telling myself in moments of doubt that I am doing all this for a charge of the “Against the Odds” Foundation and I have to be strong. I have sacrificed two weeks of my cruise to promote the event in Poland. And since there are no Foundation money whatsoever, not even a penny, allocated to fulfilling my dream of making Robert’s dream come true – I had to promote “Rejs z Nataszą 2” (Cruise with Natasza 2) so that you know that we count on your support. It was not only two weeks, but probably also a visit to Saint Helen’s Island and Brasil that I’ve sacrificed, but I carry no regret. I know that it is worth doing good to others. If you help me and we will collect enough money on a special sub account of the Foundation, fourteen-year-old Robert will be able to make his dream come true, something which he could never do without our help. Help me out then – I am doing my best myself and if you like the idea of helping others then send whatever money you can to the account of the Foundation, every penny counts!!!
I would like to thank here Andrzej of
www.bluewaterclub.pl, who joined our effort of organising Robert’s journey to the Caribbean, Monika, for her royal-like hospitality in the capital, and a family which put us up near Warsaw, Janusz, for “reality check”, Jurek, for his advice, Konrad, for everything, and Agata Sadza of “Translateria” (
www.translateria.pl) for our meeting and a wonderful gift which I will be able to stick to “Tanasza”...
