I felt weak and a little cold last night after falling into the water in the marina and rinsing off with a cold shower. I hope I’m not getting sick. I planned to sleep for a little longer but life doesn’t want to give me any rest and early morning my friend off a fishing boat next door indeed woke me up holding a long hook in one hand and my frying pan in the other. Right, thank you very much, now I have no excuse and I will have to cook on the next leg of my trip :).
Only as I stuck out my head from down below Max was ready with the breakfast. I didn’t need to bring anything with me. My cereal is already here, as he figured out I’m smart enough hoping to be asked for breakfast over and over again. There is something in it because indeed it is better than in any best hotel in the world. I had coffee, fresh papayas, bananas, avocado, His yogurt :) and raspberries and pate, homemade pickles (you put fresh cucumber in a rest of the water from last cucumbers, add vinegar, salt, sugar dill if possible and they are ready). What else you need to start up your day?! Even though I managed to drop bread with the butter side down on Max's charts he was kind enough to speak about his friend who will support me with weather information all the way when I leave. Sleeping in would be good but getting news like this is worth getting off the bunk.
I needed to attend some errands and took a bus to a place where there is no paved roads, no street names, paddles of water and cars hardly going through. I saw some village life via the window of the bus. Women doing laundry in the baskets, kids running around barefoot, men chopping wood for the ground stoves, everyone very busy but also very friendly asking how I am and smiling saying hello....
Now I’m back to the boat and since there is a sun for the first time in days I can do my laundry (also in a basket) and I can carry on with repairing the battens in my main. It is a high time to go and I must hurry.
