Szczecin, 5 February
I wake up in my bed in Ustka... At 6 am I am at a bus stop catching a hike to Słupsk where I get on a train. I keep working for an hour or so on my way – the list is long: writing, calling... I fall asleep. Luckily, Szczecin is the last stop and I can’t miss it:)
Maciej and Jana pick me up from the train station. They are wonderful! They let me stay at their place, feed, allow me to use their computer, take me to a radio station... enough time to make a recording and I run to a meeting in Pałac Młodzieży.
The meeting started at 16.00 and I could talk about the planned event and my lone cruise around the world. I am so grateful to Wojtek, Wiesław, Zenon and all others who were involved in preparation of the meeting in Szczecin! I am grateful to all those who attended the meeting too, of course! Even Karolina found time and came with her parents to Szczecin – this way she helps me to promote another charity action. She “passes on” what she’s got. A beautiful thing!

Afterwards I rush to a TV station – one live show and one recording for later and I can go home...
I have not yet told you what adventure I had on my way back from Poznań to the seacoast.  The night before I went to Szczecin I was so tired that I confused roads and my car broke down after 10 pm. It was cold, I could barely stand upright. And then I find help. It is sometimes like that – you do what you can to help others and you hope that, in case of need, there will be someone to help you. And there they were! I met a couple of mechanics on a petrol station. They did what they could to repair “my ride” but new spare parts were needed. Guess what? They knew that I had to be at home by the morning so they gave me a 150 km ride home to Ustka, while my car stayed there for repair. I am very, very grateful for their help!!!
I am writing about this story here because my hero-mechanics found time to bring me my fixed car back (another 150 km one way) and I took it from them on my way back from Szczecin. Krystian and Łukasz, you are great!
