I have a list full of things to do today. I woke up during the night and started writing them down in order not to forget anything. Finding my coffee was at the top of my list(it must be somewhere☺). I scheduled myself to clean the cabin, dig my hat out from the bottom of a bag, change the set up in GPS, sort out little radio problem, get a weather forecast for another three days, tighten the anchor and spinnaker poles on the deck, stow my fenders better, find a strap for my main sheet... with all the chores it was going to be a busy day!!!
So to start right I put a music CD on that I got from my friend Szymon and I dropped the lure out. Music sounded good and so I felt like a little dance in the cockpit. When I did I wondered how many of you had lately danced yet before brushing your teeth, hmm?
I really wanted to do all the things of my list but shortly after my little party it turned out there was one thing I did not foresee or fit into it my plan. That was a visit.
My visitors were Dolphins, hundreds I would guess! Some bigger, some smaller. Some came right at me and some circled around the boat jumping. Even though I recognize only two kinds of dolphins and that’s only thanks to Dan, a friend I used to dive with, I can easily say these were the spotted ones, grey with pink dots all over their bodies.
Well, let me tell you I didn’t plan having them, and didn’t plan they would stay so long, but I took the tiller to my hand, and we watched the sunrise together...
My Goodness, such a delay in my workday! Can't be!... I rushed to work and forgot to attach the wind vane back to the tiller (silly me). Luckily enough the boat was sailing itself beautifully even through another accident which happened in my excellently planned day.
When cleaning my cabin I took a book to my hand. Looked it over and read the back cover, then the first page, the second and off I went reading the whole thing. The heck with looking for the hat, I can do one more day without it, right?
And when the evening took me by surprise I found myself occupied with watching the sky. Usually I sleep on the floor as that way I can see what is going on outside and also this way I can see the stars. So here I was waiting for the falling stars at the same time considering myself very busy because many of them fell and each took my wish with it. So please appreciate my hard work today and wait for the good things I wished for you my friends. They will come true.
I have no pictures of the dolphins but I do have of some of pilot whales that came to greet me the second day of my trip.
